Working With Me: Centering What’s True for You
Whether you’re 8 or 48, the heart of my work is this: helping you come home to yourself.
Some clients come to me burnt out, overwhelmed, or full of questions they can’t name yet. Others come with a specific goal- grief support, identity work, nervous system regulation, or parenting through chaos. Whether you’re a child struggling to express big emotions, a teen navigating identity and pressure, or an adult unraveling years of old patterns- I meet you there, with calm, care, and creative tools when they serve.
I’m trained as both a psychotherapist and art therapist. That means I might bring in creativity- drawing, movement, symbolism- but it’s never required. The process is collaborative and customized. Some sessions involve image-making, others stay with words. Some are filled with laughter. Others with silence. It all belongs.
What to Expect in Session
I offer a balance of structure and spaciousness, tailored to the age and needs of each client. Whether you’re a child, teen, or adult, a session might include:
• Grounding Check-In: A few minutes to land, notice what’s present, and connect.
• Exploration: Through talk, art, or somatic awareness. We follow what feels alive.
• Reflection: Gently making meaning—if and when it feels helpful.
• Closing: Regrouping so you can reenter your world with steadiness.
For younger kids, I incorporate more visual, sensory, and movement-based tools. For teens, we might toggle between words and creative expression. For adults, it could be deep narrative work, grief processing, or breaking free from old roles. There’s no single “formula.”
Who I Work With
I see children (ages 5+), teens, and adults - both in-person in Washington, D.C. and virtually for those in qualifying locations. I specialize in working with people navigating:
• Trauma, grief, or life transitions
• Chronic stress or emotional shutdown
• Identity work, self-reclamation, or boundary-setting
• Parenting challenges
• Feeling “stuck,” overwhelmed, or disconnected
• Creative burnout and soul fatigue
• The pressure to keep it together when you’re falling apart inside
Whether you’re a parent seeking support for your child, a teen trying to be understood, or an adult reclaiming your own voice, I’m here to walk with you.
For Parents
If you’re a parent seeking therapy for your child or teen, I know how much trust it takes to invite someone new into their emotional world. What I bring is calm presence, developmental attunement, and an adaptable toolbox that meets kids where they are - whether that’s through conversation, art, movement, or a quiet space to just be.
My role isn’t to “fix” your child - It’s to offer them a steady, grounded space where they can express what’s hard to say, reconnect with their inner compass, and begin to feel more at home in themselves. I stay in communication with parents along the way, while also honoring the privacy and agency that helps kids build confidence in the therapeutic process.
